Building mental health capacity through training and community

The Mental Health Service Corps (MHSC) is a global, donor-funded initiative that provides free access to evidence-based mental health training and ongoing community support for people who would not otherwise be able to afford it.

What It Means to Join

Joining the Mental Health Service Corps means becoming part of an 100% online training and learning community.

Members receive access to the full library of 4C Mental Health programs, including courses, live sessions, and community spaces focused on:

  • Emotional regulation and resilience

  • Stress, anxiety, trauma, and burnout

  • Evidence-based tools from CBT, DBT, and related approaches

  • Supporting others ethically and responsibly

  • Ongoing learning and peer connection

There is no requirement to volunteer, provide services, or work in exchange for access.

Instead, MHSC focuses on capacity-building — so members can apply what they learn in their own lives, roles, families, workplaces, and communities.

The Mental Health Service Corps is designed for people who:

  • Are motivated to learn practical, evidence-based mental health skills

  • Would meaningfully benefit from financially supported access

  • Intend to apply what they learn in their families or communities

  • Value training, growth, and collective impact

We especially encourage applications from:

  • Community leaders, educators, and advocates

  • Students and early-career professionals

  • People with lived experience seeking tools and support
